Sailfish Bay Pre-Production with Daniel Goz

Photobucket

Every project that we are involved with has three phases: Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production. To put it simply, Pre-Production involves the planning, Production is the "On Location" shoot, and Post-Production is the editing, writing, publishing, etc. Obviously, while being "On Location" is the point of what we do, the Pre-Production planning is a close second. We absolutely love getting ready for each and every one of our shoots. Everything from getting the equipment ready, to writing a tentative script, to speaking with industry experts with previous experience is part of the fun.

The other day, while contemplating the underwater filming for the project, I came across a fantastic underwater image of a Marlin shot by Daniel Goz at WildOnTheFly.com. Wanting to find out more I visited his website and realized that Daniel is an expert in underwater pelagic photography. Long story short, contact was made, and he was kind enough to give me a call from Germany to discuss the project. His insight was really eye opening and now we feel so much better prepared thanks to his sage advice. Without question, the shoot will be better because of him.

We are going to have to hook up with Daniel in the future and join him on one of his epic DIY adventures....
